[Mandrake] PATH java erreur

bonjour
apres l'install de Mandriva 2007 j'ai essaye d'installer plusieur autre 
programme necessitant le java ( comme Mercury et LimeWire)
j'ai suivi les tutos  a la lettre mais sa ne marche toujours pas
lorsque je tappe Mercury dans le terminal il m'affiche ceci :

[cedric@localhost ~]$ Mercury
/usr/bin/Mercury: line 16:  7984 Erreur de segmentation  java

et voici  pour limewire :

pourtant j'ai installer le java 1.5 mais il n'est pas dans le path  donc 
comment faire ?
si vous aviez connaissez la marche a suivre merci de m'aider
